Day 39-42 Hannah Lynn

Day 39 - First day with Kreinik.  Thread Heaven saved me because I was about to say no to metallics.

Up close on metallics.  One little point, the pattern says to use 2 strands of Kreinik, don't. One is all you need.
Day 40 - I purchased the actual Q-Snaps, before I was using the Micheal's brand.  They are both the exact same price but the clamp part from the Micheal's brand split and they were not good at keeping the fabric tight.  I wouldn't recommend buying the one from Micheal's.  I didn't know how bad it actually was until I bought the real Q-Snap, WOW!  what a difference.
 Day 41

Day 42 - before I put the Q-Snaps back on.
After I put the Q-Snaps back on and got a little more stitching done.
My little men playing together.  A rare sight these days.

Happy Mail!

Here is what I got today from Because You Count :
A 7x7 piece of 28ct Cashel Linen in Echo for Trick or Treat Couple by The Frosted Pumpkin
2 spools of Kreinik#4 032 for Hannah Lynn
Thread Heaven
3 Skeins of Weeks Dye Works, 1 in Kohl and 2 in Cocoa
2 Skeins of The Gentle Art in Endive

The Kohl is for Halloween Spooky Sampler by The Frosted Pumpkin and Cocoa and Endive are for Promise Me by Lizzie Kate.

I have started using the Kreinik while I was waiting for these picture to load.  The pattern says to use 2 strands, but I think that looks bad so I picked that out and am now just using 1 strand and it looks much, much better.  This is my first time using metallics so if anyone has any hints I would be forever grateful! :)

And here is some *small* progress on Beatrix Potter Bunnies.
My oldest just got home from school with his first ever homework.  He has to write his name out every night this week and return it at the end of the week and he had a MELTDOWN!  He doesn't like homework, he doesn't think he should have to do it, there was feet stomping and everything!  He even asked me if I would do his homework for him.  But the homework is now done and he lost tv privileges for the rest of the night.  So I hope I nipped that in the bud and tomorrow night it will be a quick write your name and we will move on with our day... fingers crossed.

UPDATE:  The boy just brought me in a worm and told me he found a baby snake in the dirt.  I guess all is well in the world again.... BOYS!!!

Halloween Town is Complete!

Here it is all stitched.  I am quite pleased with it and I have an idea on the actual finishing.  I don't think I want to frame it but we will see.  You can get this pattern here.

This is a little progess on my Beatrix Potter bunnies.  It is coming along slowly but surely.

Happy Stitching,

Day 28-31 Hannah Lynn and some happy little trees

Day 28 - I am keeping this one small because it is really blurry but when it is small it is kinda ok.
Day 29 - You can see my small progress where the thread are going to the left.
Day 30 - I find you can tell how happy or unhappy I am with this project by how the parked threads look.  When they are all in a jumble like this one, you can bet it was a rough stitching day.
Day 31 - I love that purple color!
Here is September for Once Upon A Time.   It is Rapunzel and she is sooo cute!

After I got these trees stitched and I was looking at them all I could think of was Bob Ross and his happy little trees.  If you don't know who Bob Ross is, watch this:
