Day 9-Hannah Lynn

My niece was over today and I was able to show her what this is going to look like and she really seemed to like it, so that is a plus!

Day 7 & 8 on Hannah Lynn

Day 7
 Day 8

Does anyone else have one of these Woody dolls from Toy Story?  If so, do you notice that he always looks like he just fell down when you entered the room?  #maybeheisreal  haha :)

A little progress and a new start

I worked a little bit on Beatrix Potter the last few days.

Here is a close up of what I have done.

And I started a new Heaven and Earth Designs pattern called Hannah Lynn for my niece.  Not too much done yet but I am loving the colors already.
Happy Stitching!!

Halloween Town progress

Here is my progress on Clue 2 for The Mysterious Halloween Town Club.  It isn't really of kilter I just don't have it straight on my Q-Snaps.  I love how this is turning out!

Stash Haul

I had a great time at Because You Count today.  The ladies there are the best!  Here is what I got today:

This is the fabric and thread for Promise Me by Lizzie Kate.  I got enough to do this pattern twice as I would like to do it for each of my boys.  The fabric is 32ct Lt Sand Belfast and the threads are from The Gentle Art and Weeks Dye Works, and they are the called for threads.

Next is a the Lizzie Kate Boxer that I submitted the quote for, "Don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened"  I already had pattern and the fabric but I needed to buy the thread, which I did today.  They are all Weeks Dye Works and are the called for threads.

This is the fabric and some of the thread for the Halloween Spooky Sampler.  The fabric is 28ct Doubloon Cashel from Picture This Plus and the thread is from Weeks Dye Works.  All the other thread called for in the pattern is DMC so I either have that in my stash all ready or I will pick it up at Micheals.

And last is a some fabric for the Heaven and Earth Design "Hannah Lynn" that I am going to do for my niece.  I was very surprised at the size of this.  WOW! 16"x22.3" is what it will be when it is finished.  It is 22ct Beige Hardanger.

And my boys got a hair cut!  This is Brayden who got some gel with his cut.

And Thomas before...

And after!  This was his first hair cut and I really had a hard time saying bye to those curls, but let me tell you it sure was easy to wash tonight!

Thanks for reading and Happy Stitching!

What is wrong with me?!?

I guess I thought I didn't have enough on my plate because I just bought this.  It is for my niece and right now they are having a 50% off sale, just until tonight I think, so I figured I might as well buy it now.

I have done Pixel People - Batman's Enemies for one of my nephew's already, so that means one down 4 to go... well make that 6 including my own two boys.  My oldest nephew is getting the Pitbulls.  His sister is getting the Heaven and Earth Designs above.  It is called "Hannah" and that is her name so I think she will like it.  Next oldest is my sister's boy, who got the Pixel People and his sister is only 1 so I have some time before she is putting in her request.  Next is my 2 boys, the oldest is getting Lightning McQueen and my littlest is getting Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit bunnies.  And my last nephew is only 3 so he doesn't really care too much yet.

I only have one sister but my boyfriend comes from a family of 5 boys so I will end up with more nephews and nieces I am sure.  I might have to start making a small pattern rule or I am never going to get these all done.

I just can't help myself

So I just bought this.  Those darn pumpkins!  I think I am going to do Frankenstein in the colors Micheal Jackson wears in the "Thiller" video.  I seen someone else had done that on the Mysterious Halloween Town and I thought it was so cute.  And I don't have a scissor fob so this really was a necessity.

Here is some more progress on Pitbulls.  I maybe have 75 stitches left of this page.  I don't think I have ever posted what my stitching rotation is so I was thinking maybe someone is kinda, sorta interested in knowing so here goes:

1st of the month is Once Upon A Time Sampler. I work on it until it is done.
around the 20th is The Mysterious Halloween Town Club (It comes out one a different day each month)  I work on it until it is done.

Then in between Once Upon A Time and Halloween Town I work on these in this order.
1 page Beatrix Potter
1 page Lightening McQueen
1 page Pitbulls
I find that by the time I get a whole page stitched up I am bored with it, so this rotation of the big ones works really well for me.

There are talks of a motorcycle drive to Mocton this Saturday for a car show, but I am really hoping I can
get a side trip into Because You Count.  Yay!  One can pray.

Happy Stitching!!

Slow and steady

Little update on the Pitbulls.  Lots of color changes going on here, but I am enjoying stitching it.

Thumbelina!!!

I really need to pay more attention... my mouse is missing his nose, and I didn't notice until I already had my picture taken (it has since been fixed).  The symbols for the mouses grey face and his pink nose were so similar that I didn't see the difference.  I hate when that happens.  Oh well I just stitched right over the grey and I really don't think anyone will notice hehehe.

Thumbelina was really fun to stitch, that little mouse is just so cute!    Next month I am hoping for some Hansel and Gretel.

Happy Stitching!!

Happy Canada Day!

We enjoyed the parade in Rustico today.  It was great as always but seemed to be shorter this year, but great anyway.  Below is my mom, my 2 nephews and my oldest down front.

This is my man and my littlest getting ready to watch the parade.  I sweated my sunscreen right off and ended up with a bright red face.  It was H O T!  Thankfully the sunscreen worked on all the kiddos and we plugged the water to them like there was a drought coming, so everyone else fared pretty well.

Here is my progress on the Pitbulls but I have put it away for a bit to work on Once Upon A Time.

This is my small progress on the July block of Once Upon A Time... part of the J.  I thought I was going to get much more done today but between the 30 degree heat and the 3 extra children I had running through the sprinkler it just didn't happen, but it really was a day well spent!  Next year with Thomas being a little older we might even be able to take in the fireworks too.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Canada Day or if you are from a different country, I hope you had an extra enjoyable day today too.  I know I sure did!

Happy Stitching!
