All caught up...for a day or so

All caught up!  And just in time since June starts Sunday.  So back to stitching some boring pavement ok Lightening McQueen I guess.
I am enjoying some time outside right now with my littlest, it is beautiful out!  And my biggest had his first taste of kindergarten today with a morning at "the big school".  He said his favorite part was snack.  Ummm ok?!  At least he had a favorite part I guess.  Haha.

Also it seems we have started a dandelion farm, so if anyone is looking for some come on over!

Well that was a job!

I just finished the border on my Once Upon A Time Sampler, which I am sure my family will be happy about because they have been neglected.  It is now 11pm and I can't see straight so Jack and his beanstalk will have to wait until morning.

My mom sews for the royals!... kinda

I was very happy to open my mailbox today!  I got the Lizzie*Kate boxer I submitted a saying for plus the Summer Basket Snippet chart, and the Weeks Dye Works and The Gentle Art threads for The Mysterious Halloween Town Club.  The first part of the Halloween Town Club doesn't come out until June 19th.  I don't know how I am going to be able to wait!

Below is a picture I got from Holland College's facebook page.   My mom, Donna Doiron, made the black cloth that Prince Charles is touching!  I am way more excited than she is and am imagining him going back to the Queen saying "I was just in P.E.I Mum, and I was unveiling a sign and the cloth that was covering the sign had such exquisite sewing, we need to get ahold of the woman who did the sewing and get her to make all the sign coverings we ever touch again!"  I am sure he is making someone hunt up her number right now.

Happy stitching!

My fabric arrived for The Mysterious Halloween Town Club.  You can't really tell from this picture but it is kinda the color of zombie skin, a grey/green color.  Perfect for a Halloween stitch.

Here is how I am progressing on Once Upon A Time.  Those little pigs a too cute!

Old Crow Framing

I just got "At Our House" by Lizzie*Kate from Old Crow Framing.  Go check them out on facebook.

This was my first every Lizzie*Kate design I ever stitched.  Sorry for the terrible picture but I just couldn't wait until the sun was out and I couldn't get this hung up quick enough.  I am so happy with the framing!  It is just perfect. Heather, the lady who framed this is the president of the needlework guild I just started going to and she made such a beautiful job.  Future repeat customer right here!  She also has a lovely blog you should go check out.

And here is my bed time snack:

My sister's hubby gave her lobster for mother's day and she was kind enough to share some with my mother and me.  She must really love me.  Haha.  Thanks little Sis.

I know this probably isn't the best bed time snack but it has been a long time since I had lobster and YOLO!  I can't believe I just wrote that!

Happy stitiching!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mama's and Mama's to be.  Especially my own Mama, who is always there when I need her and is such a wonderful Nona to my kiddos.

Here is a little progress. I had a wonderful morning stitching today.  I was able to sleep in while the kids and Dad made me breakfast.  I just got up in time to put the baby down for his nap and then I stitched the morning away.  It was wonderful!

My Lizzie*Kate design

OK I know this isn't my design but this is the quote I submitted so it kinda is mine haha.  Isn't it beautiful!?!  I am in love and can't wait to stitch it.  I had to borrowed this picture from the Lizzie*Kate blog because I just couldn't wait until mine came in the mail to take my own picture.

Motorcycle rides, a selfie and progress

So these two just left for a drive.  I am not sure how I feel about my 4 year old riding motorcycles but he was holding on pretty tight!  And Dad was driving quite slow.

So after they left I tried to take a selfie with Thomas... he wasn't really into it.  And I probably should have wiped the chocolate off his mouth before we started.

Here is my OUAT with January almost done.  I am really, really enjoying stitching this and can't wait for the Halloween Town pattern to come out.  The first part comes out June 19th and hopefully I will be all caught up with my fairy tales by then.
Happy stitching everyone!

Stitching progress from the retreat

Here are a couple pictures of what I accomplished while at retreat.

I did most of this block except baby bear and some of papa bear, which I already had done.

I also worked on this for a short time and managed to get a couple of rows done on the bottom.  I really am not enjoying stitching the dark colors.  Maybe when I get Once Upon A Time caught up I will get back into this.

I really had a great time at retreat.  The staff at the Belcourt Lodge are wonderful, and the group of people at the retreat were lots of fun.  I can't wait until next year!
